Blue Pullover with Slipped Stitches Inserts

You’ll need:

300 (300) 350g of blue yarn (100% linen; 150m/50g);

50g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Knitting needles 3,5;

Crochet hook 3;

Tapestry needle.

Size: S (M) L.

Stitches control: 23 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with slipped sts: 3 sts = 4,5 cm wide.

Back

Cast on 109 (117) 125 sts and work with stockinette stitch. For pattern with slipped sts, slip the central 3 sts to the 1st row and cast them again at the same time in 51,5 (53,5) 55,5 cm from the set-up row. For neck-hole, bind off the central 27 (31) 35 sts in 54 (56) 58 cm from the set-up row and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row. At the same time, in 56 (58) 60 cm from the set-up row bind off 1 x 4 (6) 8 sts from outer side for shoulder chamfers and 8 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. In 62 (64) 66 cm from the set-up row, bind off all sts.

Front

Cast on 109 (117) 125 sts with blue yarn and work with stockinette stitch. For left side pattern with slipped sts and cast on these 3 sts again at the same time, slip 25-27 (28-30) 31-33 sts in 17,5 (18,5) 19,5cm from the set-up row. For right side pattern with slipped sts, slip 79-81 (84-86) 89-91 sts to the 1st row and cast on 3 sts again at the same time in 24 (25) 26 cm from the set-up row. For middle pattern with slipped sts, slip the central 5 sts at first in 28,5 (29,5) 30,5 cm from the set-up row and cast on 3 sts again in the next row = 107 (115) 123 sts. Bind off the central 25 (29) 33 sts for neck-hole in 52 (54) 56 cm from the set-up row, slip the central 3 sts. For smooth rounding, bind off 5 x 1 st from inwards in every 2nd row. Make shoulder chamfers in the same way, as for back. Bind off all sts at the height of back.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams, leave the upper 18 (19) 20 cm open for arm-holes. Fasten neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets with blue yarn.
