1 6oz. skein Red Heart Ocean
2 8oz. skein white worsted weight
size "K" hook

notes:

--Afghan is worked lengthwise.
--Stitches 'in' chain-spaces, are to be worked 'around' the chain stitch, not in it

pattern:

with white, ch 103
foundation row: sc in 4th ch from hook, (ch 1, sk next ch, sc) across; 50 ch-sps
pattern row: ch 3, turn, sc in 1st ch-sp*, (ch 1, sc in next ch-sp) across, placing last sc around 3rd beg ch of prev. row

color sequence:

start with 2 rows of white
sequence is - 1 row ocean, 5 rows white
repeat 11 times
finish by adding - 1 row ocean, 2 rows white
finish offweave in ends

border:

join white with sc at any point on afghan
Rnd 1: sc around, placing (sc, ch 1, sc) in each corner, join with sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 1, sk next sc, sc in next st) around, placing (sc, ch 1, sc) in ea corner ch-sp, ch 1, join with sl st to 1st sc
Rnd 3: with ocean, rep Rnd. 2
Rnd 4-5: with white, rep Rnd. 2
finish off
