  • 9mm Safety Eyes, or an alternative form of eyes
  • Stitch Marker
  • PolyFill
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors
  • Sewing Pins

  • Spst – Separate Stitches

  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Inc – Increase
  • Dec – Invisible Decrease
    • In front loops only pick up the next two loops, yarn over, and pull through 2 loops.
  • FO – Fasten Off
  • FLO – Front Loop Only – for closing up holes.

Notes-

  • Magic Ring Alternative – chain 2 and single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
  • This will be crocheted in the round.

Rd 1: sc 6 in MR
Rd 2: Inc (12)
Rd 3: sc, inc (18)
Rd 4: sc 2, inc (24)
Rd 5: sc 3, inc (30)
Rd 6-12: sc around (30) (7 rounds)
Rd 13: sk 14 sts, sc place the st marker, sc 15.
Rd 14: sc around (16)
Rd 15: sc 2, dec (12)
Rd 16: dec (6)

FO, and weave in ends. Insert eyes between rds 13 and 14, 3 sts apart.

Stuff and then sc across the back to close it, FO. OR IN THE LAST ST DO A (CH, DC) X3, ch, FO.

Beak-

Yellow

Rd 1: sc 4 in MR, sl st in the first st to make a loop.
FO, and weave in the ends. Attach to the face between the eyes, with the beak poking out.

Comb-

Red

Attach to the head around rd 16, (ch 4, sss 1 up toward the back of the head) x3 to make 3 bumps.

FO, and weave in ends.
