Knitting instructions:

Pullover size: 38-40

You will need:

  • Yarn (100% wool, 400 m/100 g) - 450 g of black color.
  • Crochet hook No. 2.5.
  • Knitting needles No. 2.

1x1 rib stitch with knitting needles: knit alternately 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.

Knitting the sweater in the round from top to bottom:

Cast on 150 stitches on the needles and knit with the rib stitch for 6 rows. In the next row, evenly increase 18 stitches (9 times x 2 stitches) as follows: knit 9 times x (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) from the yarn overs. Include these stitches in the overall rib pattern. Knit another 6 rows, then bind off the stitches loosely.

Continue with crochet. Along the edge of the rib, crochet 1 row of single crochet stitches = approximately 168 stitches. Then continue with the main pattern according to Scheme 1, where you should start with 42 arches. Then increase the number of chain stitches between elements to 2, and after 3 rows, increase to 3. After knitting 17 rows with the main pattern, divide the stitches as follows: 11 elements of the pattern for the sleeves, and 10 elements each for the front and back. Mark these sections with contrasting thread or special markers and knit each section separately.

Back and front: knit only the stitches of the back and front in the round, adding 1 element of the pattern on each side = 22 elements. Knit 18 rows straight, then make decreases according to Scheme 2.

Sleeves: knit 15 rows with the main pattern (with 3 chain stitches between elements). Then reduce the number of chain stitches between elements to 2. Knit 8 rows. Then knit 10 rows with 1 chain stitch between elements and 3 rows, as the 3rd and 4th rows of Scheme 1. Continue with Scheme 3 until the desired length.
