1 ball sport wt. cotton yarn (e.g., Bernat Dewdrop)
Size G hook
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge: 4 sc = 1" on size G hook
Terms/Abbreviations: beginning (beg), chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half
double crochet (hdc), hook (hk), repeat (rep), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl st),
stitch (st)
Washcloth
Row 1: Ch 21, sc in second ch from hk and in each sc across, turn (20 sc).
Rows 2-4: Ch 1, sc in ea sc across, turn.
Row 5: Ch 2, dc in ea sc across, turn (20 dc)
Rep Rows 2-5 four times.
Rep Rows 2-4 once.
Edging:
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work sc evenly around washcloth, working 3 sc in each corner. Join
to first sc with slip stitch, do not turn.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in ea sc around, working 3 dc in each corner, join to first dc with
slip stitch, do not turn.
Rnd 3: Sl st in ea dc around, join to first sl st and fasten off. Weave in ends.
*Optional Bunny Roll Instructions
To make bunny: roll washcloth diagonally, bring points together and tie with ribbon to form “ears”. Pull point of cloth to front between ears to form “nose”. Pastel multicolor version is a modification of this pattern: worked in thicker yarn (Peaches & Creme) on size H hook, work 1 row dc, 1 row sc for a total of 5 times, then ch 2 and work 1 rnd hdc around edge.
