​Knit Brown Dress

You’ll need:

450 (500)g of brown Mano yarn (90% cotton, 10% polyamide; 150m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit;

Zigzags pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-24^th rows.

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 2, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Decrease 1 st: make broaching from the right side; make knit2tog from the left side.

Stitches control: zigzags pattern: 17 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 21 sts = 32,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 104 (112) sts and make 1 cm = 2 rows of garter stitch for placket. Then, make 144 rows of zigzags pattern, then, work with relief pattern. In 58 cm from placket, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 80 (88) sts. In 76,5 (78,5) cm from the placket, bind off the rest sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for wrap effect, leave the first 34 (38) st sin 46,5 cm from placket and make right half on the last 70 (74) sts. For neck-hole chamfer, bind off 1 x 1 st in every 3^rd from inwards, then, 17 (15) x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 14 (16) x 1 st in every 4^th, decrease 1 st. Bind off the rest 26 (30) sts at the height of back. Then, transfer the previously left 34 (38) sts to knitting needles and cast on 36 sts from WS along the sts of right half of front = 70 (74) sts and work in symmetry.

Sleeves

Cast on 44 sts and make 1 cm = 2 rows of garter stitch for placket. Then, work with zigzags pattern, increase 5 x 1 st in every 12^th row from both sides and 4 x 1 st in every 10^th row (3 x 1 st in every 10^th row and 9 x 1 st in every 8^th row), include the increased sts in the pattern = 62 (68) sts. In 35,5 cm from placket, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, 5 x 1 st in every 4^th row, 6 x 1 st and 2 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row. In 49,5 cm from placket, bind off the rest 18 (24) sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of slip sts with the help of crochet hook. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
