​Brown Knit Jumper

You’ll need:

620g of orange yarn (60% wool, 20% polyamide, 15% viscose, 5% polyamide; 90m/100g);

50g of orange thin cord;

100g of brown thick cord;

Knitting needles 8 and 10.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Half-patent rib: 1^st row: 1 knit st, 1 purl;

2^nd row: slip 1 knit st, 1 purl;

3^rd row: 1 knit st, make the slipped st and yarn over as purl2tog.

Repeat 2^nd and 3^rd.

Main pattern 1: 1 RS row: 1 half-patent st (8 RS rows: slip 1 st with yarn over as knit st, in WS row: slipped st with yarn over as purl2tog), 2 purls; WS rows: due to the pattern.

Main pattern 2: RS row: 1 half-patent st, 1 purl; WS row: due to the pattern.

Stitches control: 13 sts x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 52 sts in Italian method with orange yarn and knitting needles 8 and work with the main pattern 1. In 33 cm = 50 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 40 sts. In 55 cm= 84 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides, then, decrease 10 sts (every 2^nd st is purl) and work with the main pattern 2. In 63 cm = 96 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the central 14 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 65 cm = 100 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 2 sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole and colorful insert. For colorful detail, in 26 cm = 38 rows from the beginning of work, change to knitting needles 10 and make 2 rows of stockinette stitch with orange cord, 12 rows of half-patent rib with brown cord, 2 rows of stockinette stitch with orange cord. In 55 cm = 84 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides, then, decrease 10 sts (every 2^nd st is purl) and work with the main pattern 2. In 61 cm = 94 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the central 10 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. In 65 cm = 100 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 2 sts.

Sleeves

Cast on 34 sts in Italian method with orange yarn and knitting needles 8 and work with the main pattern 1, increase 3 x 1 st in every 20^th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers = 40 sts. In 38 cm = 56 rows from the beginning of work, change to knitting needles 10 and make colorful detail in the same way, as for front. In 44 cm = 66 rows from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row, 4 x 1 st in every 4^th row, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row. In 60 cm = 90 rows from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 4 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
