Knit Brown Men’s Cardigan
You’ll need:
800g of woolen worsted yarn with viscose content in brown color;
Knitting needles 5 and 5,5;
5 wooden buttons.
Size: XL.
Used Patterns
Garter stitch: all knit sts;
Pearled pattern: 1 knit st, 1 purl by turn, replace the pattern in 1 row;
Fancy pattern: due to the scheme.
Stitches control: 20 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back
Cast on 78 sts with knitting needles 5 and make 3 cm of garter stitch. Continue work with knitting needles 5,5, divide the sts in the following way: 10 sts of pearled pattern, 18 sts due to the scheme, 22 sts of pearled pattern, 18 sts due to the scheme, 10 sts of pearled pattern. Total height = 66 cm.
Right Front
Cast on 42 sts with knitting needles 5 and make 3 cm of garter stitch. Continue work with knitting needles 5,5, divide the sts in the following way: 14 sts of pearled pattern, 18 sts due to the scheme, 10 sts of pearled pattern. At 43 cm height, bind off 2 sts from side seam and then, decrease 18 x 1 st in every 2nd row for arm-hole. At the same time, replace 8 x 1 st due to the scheme to pearled pattern for better form of collar. After finishing raglan decreases, at 63 cm height, continue work on 22 sts of collar for 19 cm and then, bind off 2 x 6 sts and 2 x 5 sts.
Left Front
Make in symmetry to the right front.
Sleeves
Cast on 30 sts with knitting needles 5 and make 3 cm of garter stitch. Continue work with knitting needles 5,5, making the first and last 6 sts with pearled pattern and the central 18 sts with pattern due to the scheme. At the same time, increase 13 x 1 st in every 6th row from both sides = 56 sts. At 50 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 2 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, decrease 21 x 1 st in every 2nd row, 18 x 1 st from the front side, 3 x 3 sts and 3 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. Total height = 73 cm.
Make the second sleeve in symmetry.
Assembly
Make seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Sew the collar to the back neck-hole. Make 5 holes for buttons. Sew the buttons.
