Instructions

Back

Cast on 195 (219) sts and make 1 WS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, * 1 purl, 11 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl, 1 selvage st (don’t take this row into account). Then, work with relief pattern. For side chamfers, make knit2tog in every stripe of garter stitch in the 20th, 40th and 70th rows from the set-up row = 99 (111) sts. Then, work due to the pattern in the following way: 1 selvage st, 1 st of stockinette stitch, 2 sts of garter stitch, 1 st of wrong-side pattern, 2 sts of garter stitch*; repeat from * to *, 1 st of stockinette stitch, 1 selvage st. In 22 cm = 72 rows (23 cm = 76 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 2 (3) sts from both sides for arm-holes and 8 (9) x 1 st in every 2nd row = 79 (87) sts. In 38,5 cm = 128 rows (41,5 cm = 138 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the central 19 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 40,5 cm = 134 rows (43,5 cm = 144 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the rest 25 (29) sts of shoulder from each side.

Left Front

Cast on 99 (111) sts and make 1 WS row in the same way, as for back. Then, work with relief pattern. For chamfers, make knit2tog in every stripe of garter stitch in the 20th, 40th and 70th rows from the set-up row = 51 (57) sts. Then, work due to the pattern. Make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back. At the same time with the beginning of arm-hole, decrease 1 st from the left side for chamfer and 15 x 1 st in every 4th row, for this, make knit2tog before 1 selvage st. Bind off the rest 25 (29) sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 135 (147) sts and make 1 WS row in the same way, as for back. Then, work with relief pattern. For widening, make knit2tog in every stripe of garter stitch in the 30th, 60th and 100th rows from the set-up row = 65 (75) sts. Then, work due to the pattern. In 37 cm = 122 rows from the set-up row, start working with garter stitch on all the sts. In 41 cm = 136 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 2 x 2 sts, 16 (17) x 1 st and 1 (2) x 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 53 cm = 176 rows (54,5 cm = 180 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; cast on 185 (197) sts along the edges of front and neck-hole with circular knitting needles in the following way: 40 (42) sts along the edges of each half of front, 37 (41) sts along neck-hole chamfers and 31 sts along back neck-hole. Make 1 WS row of knit sts and then bind off all the sts as knit sts, sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
