You’ll need:

500 (600) 700g of silver-black mélange Chiara yarn (70% viscose, 20% royal mohair, 10% polyamide; 190m/50g);

Knitting needles 4;

Crochet hook 3,5;

1 button.

Used Patterns

Zigzags pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-10th rows.

Stitches control: 30 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 123 (147) 171 sts in criss-cross method and work with zigzags pattern. At the same time from the set-up row, decrease 6 x 1 st in every 12th row from both sides = 111 (135) 159 sts. In 25 cm = 80 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides and 5 x 1 st in every 12th row = 123 (147) 171 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 48 cm = 154 rows (46 cm = 148 rows) 44 cm = 142 rows from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 93 (117) 141 sts. In 64 cm = 204 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 21 (29) 37 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 6 (7) 8 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 65,5 cm = 210 rows from the set-up row, bind off the outer 24 (30) 36 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for neck-hole, bind off the central st in 22 cm = 70 rows from the set-up row and finish both sides separately.

Left Front

Cast on extra 2 sts for placket, when you divide your work in half = 63 (75) 87 sts. In 59,5 cm = 190 rows from the set-up row, bind off 9 (13) 17 sts from inwards for neck-hole and 1 x 4 (5)6 sts, 1 x 3 (4) 5 sts, 3 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 24 (30) 36 sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front, cast on 2 sts from inwards for placket, then, increase 7 x 1 st in every 10th row and 6 x 1 st in every 8th row = 61 (73) 85 sts after finishing arm-holes. In 59 cm = 188 rows from the set-up row, bind off 1 (2) 1 x 1 3 sts for neck-hole and then 1 (0) 2 x 9 sts, 1 x 4 (5) 5 sts, 1 x 3 (4) 5 sts, 3 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st.

Sleeves

Cast on 75 (87) 99 sts in criss-cross method and work with zigzags pattern. In 17,5 cm = 56 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 13 x 1 st in every 6th row = 103 (115) 127 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 43 cm = 138 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 (5) 7 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 4 x 2 sts, 6 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st, 5 x 2 sts and 1 x 4 (5) 6 sts in every 2nd row. In 56 cm = 180 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 29 (35) 41 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; fasten the neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets and “shrimp” stitch. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seam. Fix the placket with button upon the left front.
