You’ll need:
110 - 130 m of worsted weight yarn (120 m /142 yds);
Double pointed needles 3.5 mm (40 cm long);
Circular needle 3.5 mm;
Stitch marker;
Tapestry needle.
Measurements
Small:45.75 cm around x 20.3 cm tall
Medium: 48.75 cm around x 20.3 cm tall
Large: 51.8 cm around x 22.8 cm tall.
Stitches control: 20 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Instructions
Using circular needle CO 90 (96, 102) sts. Pm and join to work in the rnd.
Rnd 1: [k1,p1] around.
Rnds 2 to 14: K.
Milanese Lace
Rnd 1: [k4, k2tog, yo] around.
Rnd 2: [k3, k2tog, k1, yo] around.
Rnd 3: [k2, k2tog, k2, yo] around.
Rnd 4: [k1, k2tog, k3, yo] around.
Rnd 5: [k2tog, k4, yo] around. Remove marker, sl st, pm.
Work rnds 1-5 of lace pattern 8 (8, 9) times. Or until desired height. Be sure to remove marker, sl st, pm after working rnd 5 for the last time.
Crown
Switch to double pointed needles when there are too few sts to comfortably work on the circular needle.
Rnd 1: [k4, k2tog] around. 75 (80, 85) sts
Rnd 2: K.
Rnd 3: [k3, k2tog] around. 60 (64, 68)sts
Rnd 4: K.
Rnd 5: [k2, k2tog] around. 45 (48, 51) sts
Rnd 6: K.
Rnd 7: [k1, k2tog] around. 30 (32, 34) sts
Rnd 8: K.
Rnd 9: [k2tog] around. 15 (16, 17) sts
Small: Rnd 10: [k2tog, k1] around. 10 sts
Medium: Rnd 10: K1, [k2tog, k1] around. 11 sts
Large: Rnd 10: [k2tog, k1] to last two sts, k2tog. 11 sts
Cut yarn and draw the yarn tail through the remaining sts to secure.
Block and weave in ends.
