  • US size 8 (5 mm) crochet hook
  • (2) 12mm safety eyes
  • Polyfill
  • Scissors

With Mint,
Round 1 – sc 6 in a magic ring (6)
Round 2 – [inc] 6 times (12)
Round 3 – BLO sc 12 (12)
Round 4 – sc around (12)
Round 5 – [FLO sc 1, inc] 6 times (18)
Round 6 – [sc 2, inc] 6 times (24)
Rounds 7-10 – sc around (24) (4 rounds)
Place a stitch marker in the first BLO of R10 to mark where R12 will be worked
Round 11 – FLO sc around (24)
In the last st of R11, change color to Cream/Ecru
R12 is worked into the BLO of R10 where the stitch marker was placed

Round 12 – BLO sc around (24)

Place safety eyes between R8/9, 4 sts apart
Begin stuffing. Stuff the base of the mug lightly so that it lays flat

Round 13 – sc around (24)
Round 14 – [sc 1, inv dec] 8 times (16)

Round 15 – sc around (16)
Round 16 – [inv dec] 8 times (8)
Continue stuffing
Round 17 – sc around (8)

FO, leaving an 8 in (20 cm) tail for closing. To close hole, using tapestry needle and tail, insert needle into FLO of each stitch of round 18. Pull tail to close and sew end into a st from R17 to make the whipped cream swirl to the side.

MUG HANDLE

With Mint,
1 – ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 9 ch(s)
FO, leaving an 8 in (20 cm) tail for sewing. Attach one end of handle to R10 and other to R5, 4 sts from right eye.

LEAF

With Sage,
1 – ch 4, slst in 2nd ch from hook and in next 2 ch(s), ch 4, slst in 2nd ch from hook and in next 2 ch(s), slst into first ch
FO, leaving an 8 in (20 cm) tail for sewing. Sew to whipped cream between R15/16
