Welcome to the group Fred,. I think you will be excited to see the finished product. Also many fun ideas come through on the DIY craftorators site. Some projects are fast. From start to finish in a couple of hours. It's amazing what they come up with. So glad to have you in the group.
Would you mind sending me the info on your blanket. It sounds wonderful. I would be interested in doing something like that. I love music 🎶. Thank you.
They are beautiful. I also use YouTube often. If I see a stitch I like but don't understand the pattern I go for a video tutorial. Keep up the good work
Welcome. There are many patterns available for different types of toys. You mentioned when you are not hurting. I identify with you. I am a chronic pain patient and there are days I just can't crochet. I do find when I'm able to get back to it I have such joy. Take care of yourself. Suzanne from Wisconsin
Welcome to the group. You will find many interesting patterns. They are easy to follow and most of them state what level is required such as Easy, Beginner, Skilled etc. Good to have you here.
Hi Linda, welcome from Wisconsin, USA. I think you will enjoy craftorators. The patterns are easy to follow and interesting to crochet. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome to the group. I know you will find this site to be interesting and an excellent resource for patterns. If you can't find the doily patterns here try YouTube. I love doing doilies and I use patterns/tutorials from YouTube often. Good luck and keep coming back to this site, many interesting people.
Hi Iris, welcome. I am a self taught crocheter. I learned to crochet by watching YouTube videos. I still watch if I plan on trying a new stitch. It's a great resource as well as the patterns on craftorators. Glad to have a new member. Suzanne
I'm not sure if this is what you mean. If I'm incorrect, I apologize in advance,. I am a chronic pain patient. I've been in tremendous pain since 2003. I found crocheting about 6 years ago (I think). I'm self taught. I've found crocheting keeps my mind busy thus helping me deal with my pain. It's made an amazing change in my life. This site always has something I am interested in trying. Thank you to everyone who shares. Best of luck to all.
Hi Anita, I'm happy to have a veteran of crocheting in our group. So many started at a young age. I didn't but I've really enjoyed the patterns and people here at craftorators. 🤗 Welcome
Hi Robin, welcome. I don't know if you've tried 2 places for yarn and hooks. 1. The veterans administration. You'll need to get their email address. Make a request. 2. If you have a senior center in your home town ask them if you can put up a sign asking for supplies. Many seniors use to crochet but can no longer do it. They have supplies that I'm sure they would be happy to donate. I have extra needles. Pls contact me by text and I'll send them to you. My name: Suzanne #715-213-4660. Looking forward to meeting you via text.
Welcome 🤗. This is a very interesting group. I am self taught and couldn't read patterns until I joined craftorators. The patterns are easy to read and do. Good luck venturing forward in your crocheting journey.
One item that is badly needed. Nursing homes that have dementia patients need these sensory muffs or squares. You can look them up on YouTube. They are called fidget muffs or twiddle muffs. You can use scraps of yarn, create the muff or squares. Then attach items like bells, buttons, basically anything the patients can use to keep their hands busy. It's a wonderful cause and extremely appreciated. Good luck
I make coasters called Mug Rugs. You are right, it's a perfect way to use scraps yarns. You can find many patterns on YouTube. Good luck and great idea.
