The quantity of sts: 6 + 2 edge fold.

1st row: * 1 purl, 4 knit sts, 1 purl, repeat from*.

2nd and all the even rows: due to the scheme.

3rd row: the same as 1st row.

5th row: * 1 purl, twist 4 sts right (leave 2 sts on the auxiliary needle behind your work, 2 knit sts and knit sts from the auxiliary needle knit sts), 1 purl, repeat from*.

7th row: the same as 1st row.

9th and 11th rows: * 2 knit sts, 2 purls, 2 knit sts, repeat from *.

13th row: 2 knit sts, 2 purls, * twist 4 sts right , 2 purls, repeat from *, 2 knit sts.

15th row: the same as 9th and 11th rows.

Repeat from the 1st up to 16th rows.
