Beige Tunic with Relief Stripes

You’ll need:

Unfortunately, the yarn wasn’t stated for this pattern;

Crochet hooks 4 and 4,5.

Size: M (L).

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 3 chain sts increase. Work due to the scheme 1. Start every row with 3 or 2 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet or 1st half crochet and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Note: In the 2nd relief stripe 1st row is WS row. For this, start with 3 chain sts increase and finish with 1 double crochet.

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 3 + 0 (1) + 3 chain sts increase. Work due to the scheme 2. Start every row with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet and start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after patter repeat. Start with 1 WS row, make 1st-3rd rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-3rd rows.

Patterns order: 5 rows of relief pattern, 10 rows of main pattern, 5 rows of relief pattern (start with 1 WS row), 10 rows of main pattern (start with 1 RS row), 5 rows of relief pattern, 10 rows of main pattern.

Stitches control: relief pattern: 21 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Main pattern: 14 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 111 (121) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work due to the patterns order = 10 (11) pattern repeats + initial and final sts in relief pattern or 34 (37) pattern repeats + initial and final sts in main pattern. In 50 cm = 45 rows from the set-up row, make yoke with relief pattern, start with 1 WS row.

At 1 cm = 1 row height of yoke, work in the following way in the next RS row for arm-holes: make 15 single crochets above initial sts + 1 pattern repeat, then, make the central 8 (9) pattern repeats + 1 st for the symmetry, make 15 single crochets above the last pattern repeat and final sts. In the next WS row, make slip sts above the first 15 single crochets, leave the last 15 single crochets open = 8 (9) pattern repeats + 1 final st. Now, start every row with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet and finish with 1 double crochet. At 20 cm = 16 rows height of yoke (22,5 cm = 18 rows), make 1st (3rd) rows x once for the final edge, but work with single crochets instead of stated double crochets.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, at 6 cm = 5 rows (8,5 cm = 7 rows) height of yoke, leave the central 4 (5) pattern repeats minus 1st st for symmetry open and finish both sides separately. Finish your work at the height of back.

Sleeves

Make 61 (71) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with relief pattern = 5 (6) pattern repeats + initial and final sts. For sleeve chamfers, increase 1 pattern repeat on the next 18,5 cm = 15 rows from both sides = 7 (8) pattern repeats + initial and final sts. In 25 cm = 20 rows from the set-up row, make the 5th row of pattern x once, but make single crochets instead of double crochets. Finish your work in 26 cm from the set-up row.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Fasten neck-hole, edges of sleeves and lower edge with 1 circle row of single crochets and 1 circle row of “crab stitch”.
