Knit Green Bolero

You’ll need:

350 (400)g of emerald (# 5) Lana Grossa Spring yarn (58% viscose, 27% polyamide, 15% cashmere; 150m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5;

Crochet hook 3,5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Grid pattern: due to the scheme. Start with sts before the first arrow, 4 sts of pattern repeat between arrows, finish with sts after the 2nd arrow. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Stitches control: 26 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 98 (110) sts and work with grid pattern. Increase 2 sts from both sides for chamfers in the 25th (27th) row, then, increase 1 x 2 sts in the next 26th (28th) row = 106 (118) sts. Include the increased sts in pattern. In 26 (28) cm = 78 (84) rows from the set-up row, mark the beginning of arm-holes from both sides and knit straight. In 18 (19) cm = 54 (58) rows from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off all sts, mark the central 50 sts for neck-hole.

Left Front

Cast on 10 sts and work with grid pattern. Cast on 4 (6) sts in the 3rd row, then, 8 (10) x 4 sts and 2 (0) x 2 sts in every 2nd row. Make increases for chamfers from the right side in the same way, as for back. Include all the increased sts in the pattern.  Mark arm-hole from the right sides at the height of back. In 2 cm = 6 rows from the last increase, bind off 2 sts from the left side for neck-hole chamfer, for this make 3 sts before selvage st as knit3tog. Repeat these decreases in every 6th row x 12 (7) times and 0 (5) times in every 8th row. Bind off the rest 28 (34) sts of shoulder from the right side at the height of back.\

Right Front

Make in symmetry to left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 70 sts and work with grid pattern. For chamfers, increase 2 sts from both sides in the 11th row, then, 5 (30 x 2 sts and 1 (0) 1 st in every 12th row and 0 (4) x 2 sts in every 10th row = 96 (102) sts. Include the increased sts in the pattern. In 32 cm = 96 rows from the set-up row, bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make side seams to marks. Sew up the sleeves. For straps, cast on 74 sts and work with grid pattern. In 2 cm = 6 rows from the set-up row, bind off all sts loosely. Sew short sides to front. Fasten all the edges with 1 circle row of single crochets and 1 circle row in the following way: *3 single crochets, 1 picot, skip 1 single crochet of the previous circle row, 1 slip st*.
