You’ll need:

450 (500) 550g of green (00470) Schachenmayr Original Sun City yarn (50% acryl, 50% cotton; 97m/50g);

Knitting needles 3,75-4.


Size: S (M) L.


Used Patterns

“Bead” pattern: the quantity of sts for the 1st row is multiple 4 + 2 selvage sts, after the 1st row, the quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2 selvage sts.

1st row (WS): selvage st, * make 5 sts out of 1 st (1 knit st, yarn over, 1 knit st, yarn over, 1 knit st), purl3tog*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;

2nd row: purl;

3rd row: selvage st, * 1 bead (= 5 purls, draw the 5th st through the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st sts), make 5 sts out of 1 st)*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;

4th row: purl;

5th row: 1 selvage st, * 5 sts out of 1 st, 1 “bead”*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st.

Make 1st row x once, then, repeat 2nd-5th rows.

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purl, in WS row – knit st.


Stitches control: wrong-side pattern: 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Bead pattern: 26-27 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 86 (92) 104 sts and work with wrong-side pattern. In 34 cm, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides, then, 2 (4) 7 x 1 st in every 6th row, 6 (4) 1 x 1 st in every 4th row = 104 (110) 122 sts. In 50 (52) 53 cm, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 7 x 3 sts (8 x 3 sts and 1 x 4 sts) 2 x 3 sts and 7 x 4 sts in every 2nd row from both sides for shoulder chamfers = 54 sts. In 56 (58) 59 cm, continue work with “bead” pattern for collar = 80 sts after the 1st row. At the same time, decrease sts in the following way: from the left side or in the end of the 4th row, make selvage st together with the next st as purl, from the right side in the 6th row or in the 2nd row of pattern, make purl2tog in the beginning of row. Repeat these decrease x 3 times in every 2nd row. After 12 rows, or in the 5th row of the pattern, make 1 WS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, * 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 “bead”, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st. Then, bind off all sts, making yarn over as cross knit sts. Total height = 62 (64) 65 cm.


Front

Make in the same way, as back.


Sleeves

Make shoulder and collar seams. Cast on 65 (72) 79 sts along the edges of arm-holes. Work with “beads” pattern, make the 1st row: 1 selvage st, * make 5 sts out of 1 st, purl2tog out of 1 st, make 5 sts out of 1 st, purl3tog*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st = 110 (122) 134 sts after the 1st row. In 15 cm after 28 rows or in the 5th row of the pattern, make 1 WS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, * 1 knit st, 1 “bead”*; repeat from * to * = 38 (42) 46 sts. Make 2 cm of wrong-side pattern, then, bind off sts.


Assembly

Make side and sleeve seams.
