​Knit Vertical Cables Pattern

The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2 + 2 selvage sts.

Start and finish every row with selvage st.

1^st row (WS): * 2 knit sts, (1 purl, yarn over) x 4 times*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit sts;

2^nd rows (RS): * 2 purls, (drop of the needle yo st, slip next st to the right-hand needle without knitting) x 4 times, repeat 4 times, after you slip all 4 stitches, pass the first two sts (from right to left), over the other 2 sts, slip those 2 sts back onto the left-hand needle, 4 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 2 purls;

3^rd row (WS): * 2 knit sts, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit sts;

4^th row (RS): * 2 purls, 4 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 2 purls.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.
