You’ll need:

1 ball of Scheepjes Stone Washed (Fine, #2; 78% Cotton, 22% Acrylic; 50g; 130m) Color: Tourmaline;

Crochet hook 3,5 mm;

Scissors;

Yarn needle.


Size: 18” wide x 11” deep.


Stitches control: 17 sts = 4”.


Instructions

1st row: Ch 4, 3 dc in 4th ch from hk. Skipped chs count as dc. Turn [4 dc]

2nd row: Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout pattern), dc in first dc, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn [6 dc]

3rd row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [6 dc and 1 ch-2 sp]

4th row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next dc, dc in ch-2 sp, ch 2, sk next dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [7 dc and 2 ch-2 sps]

5th row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next dc and ch-2 sp, shell in next dc, ch 2, sk ch-2 sp and next dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [9 dc and 2 ch-2 sps]

6th row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next dc and first ch, shell in next ch, sk shell, shell in next ch, ch 2, sk next ch and dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [12 dc and 2 ch-2 sps]

7th row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next dc and first ch, shell in next ch, shell in between next 2 shells, shell in next ch, ch 2, sk next ch and dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [15 dc and 2 ch-2 sps]

8th row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next dc and first ch, shell in next ch, [shell in between next 2 shells] up to ch-2 sp, shell in next ch, ch 2, sk next ch and dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [18 dc and 2 ch-2 sps]

9th-25th rows: repeat the 8th row;

26th row: Ch 3, dc in first 2 dc, ch 2, sk next dc and first ch, dc in next ch, ch 2, [dc in between next 2 shells, ch 2] up to ch-2 sp, dc in first ch, ch 2, sk next ch and dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Turn. [75 sts]

27th row: Ch 3, dc in first dc and into each dc and into each ch to the last dc, 2 dc in last dc. Do not fasten off.


Strings

String 1: *Ch 40, working into back bumps, sc in 2nd ch from hk and into each ch across, sl st in top of last dc made. Fasten off.

String 2: Join yarn to the top of the first dc made in row 29, then repeat instructions as for the first string.
