Knit Pullover with Round Yoke and Short Sleeves

You’ll need:

300 (350)g of turquoise-linen mélange yarn (34% cotton, 34% polyacryl, 22% viscose, 10% linen; 125m/50g);

Circular knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 13.

Odd circle rows: * 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 4 knit sts, knit2tog, knit2tog to the left (slip 1 knit st, 1 knit st, draw it through the slipped st), 4 knit sts, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *.

Even circle rows: knit sts.

Wrong-side pattern (circle rows): * 1 circle row of purls, 1 circle row of knit sts*; repeat from * to *.

Stitches control: 22,5 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Note: work as one-piece cloth with circle rows. Make decreases in the end of round yoke, which are shown on the pattern design as sleeve/shoulder rounding.

Instructions

Cast on 208 (234) sts (= 104 (117) sts for front and back (each)), circle them in the ring and make 1 circle row of purls. Don’t take this row into account. Continue work with relief pattern. It’s recommended to mark the 1st and the 105th (108th) st of circle row, they form side lines. In 38 cm = 88 circle rows from the set-up row, divide your work to front and back and bind off 21 sts from both sides for arm-holes (= marked sts of side lines and 10 sts from both sides of these sts). Cast on 60 sts in the next circle row for sleeves instead of the previously bound off sts and include them in the pattern = 286 (312) sts.

Continue work due to the pattern with circle rows, make the newly cast on sts as purls in the 1st circle row. For volume reduction, don’t make yarn overs in 54 cm = 124 rows (56,6 cm = 130 rows) from the set-up row x 3 times in every odd circle row, which corresponds to 44 (48) decreased sts in every circle row of decreases = 154 (168) sts.

In 56,6 cm = 130 rows (59 cm = 136 rows) from the set-up row, continue work with wrong-side pattern for neck-hole placket. At 2 cm = 9 rows width of placket, bind off all the sts as knit sts.
