Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 2 + 2 selvedge sts.

1^st row: 1 selvedge st, * 1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvedge st;

2^nd and 4^th rows: due to the ornament;

3^rd row: 1 selvedge st, * 1 purl, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvedge st.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Stitches control: main pattern: 21 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front

Cast on 78 (86) 94 sts and make 14 cm of rib, knit in the 1^st WS row due to the following description: 1 selvedge st, 1 purl, * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit sts, 1 purl, 1 selvedge st. Bind off the central 54 sts in the last WS row and finish both sides separately. At first, make left front with the main pattern, increase 4 sts in the 1^st row = 16 (20) 24 sts. For side chamfer and one-piece sleeve, increase 4 (7) 8 x 1 st in every 6^th row from the right side, 5 (2) 1 x 1 st in every 4^th row and 1 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 6 sts in every 2^nd row = 45 (49) 53 sts. In 57 (59) 61 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 11 (12) 13 sts from the right side for shoulder chamfer, then, 2 x 11 (12) 13 sts and 1 x 12 (13) 14 sts in every 2^nd row. In 60 (62) 64 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Make the right half of front in symmetry to the left.

Back

Cast on 78 (86) 94 sts and make 14 cm of rib, knit in the 1^st WS row due to the following description: 1 selvedge st, 1 purl, * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit sts, 1 purl, 1 selvedge st. Then, work with the main pattern, increase 8 sts in the 1^st row = 86 (94) 102 sts. Make side chamfer, one-piece sleeve and shoulder chamfer from both sides, as for left front. In 60 (62) 64 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest sts.

Assembly

Make all the seams, cast on 72 sts along the edges of sleeves and make 4 cm with rib, bind off the sts. Cast on 214 (222) 230 sts along the neck-hole and make 26 cm with rib, bind off the sts. Sew the short sides of plackets to the rib.
