Knit Coral Pullover

You’ll need:

450 (500)g of coral yarn (76% cotton, 24% polyamide; 115m/50g);

Knitting needles 5 and 6;

Circular knitting needles 5.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Rib, knitting needles 5: the quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage st.

WS rows: * 3 knit sts, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *, finish with 3 knit sts;

RS rows: * 3 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, finish with 3 purls.

Make all the rest patterns with knitting needles 6!

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 1. Work due to the scheme, in which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Stitches control: wrong-side pattern: 20 sts x 28,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 18 sts x 28,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 89 (101) sts and work due to the scheme 1 for 9 cm for lower placket, start with 1 WS row. Then, continue work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 7 sts of wrong-side pattern, 73 (85) sts of relief pattern, 7 sts of wrong-side pattern, 1 selvage st. For arm-holes, in 33 cm = 94 rows from lower placket, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides, then, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 75 (87) sts. For neck-hole, bind off the central 27 sts in 49 cm = 140 rows (51 cm = 146 rows) from lower placket and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. Bind off the rest 18 (24) sts of each shoulder in 52 cm = 148 rows (54 cm = 154 rows) from lower placket.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 15 sts in 39,5 cm = 112 rows (41,5 cm = 118 rows) from lower placket and for smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row and 2 x 1 st in every 4th row.

Sleeves

Cast on 59 (71) sts for each sleeve and make 7 cm of rib for lower placket, start with 1 WS row. Then, continue work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 4 sts of wrong-side pattern, 49 (61) sts of relief pattern, 4 sts of wrong-side pattern, 1 selvage st. At the same time, increase 5 x 1 st in every 10th row from both sides for lower placket and work with wrong-side pattern = 69 (81) sts. For smooth cap rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides in 19,5 cm = 56 rows from lower placket, then, 2 x 2 sts, 12 x 1 st in every 2nd row (* 1 x 1 st and 1 x 2 sts*; repeat from * to * x 5 times) and 3 x 2 sts. Bind off the rest 17 sts in 32 cm = 92 rows from lower placket.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 114 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make placket with rib in circle rows (= 3 knit sts, 3 purls by turn). In 3 cm from placket, bind off all the sts. Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
