Simple Knit Pullover

You’ll need:

175 (200) 225g of yarn (60% silk, 40% cashmere; 120m/25g);

Knitting needles 4 and 5,5;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Pattern of slipped sts: the quantity of sts is odd. Work due to the scheme. Both RS and WS rows are stated on the scheme. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Stitches control: 21 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 118 (126) 134 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 6 cm = 16 rows of 1 x 1 rib between selvage sts for lower placket and 2 rows of stockinette stitch, increase 1 st in the last WS row = 119 (127) 135 sts. Continue work with pattern of slipped sts with knitting needles 5,5. In 43 cm = 124 rows (45,5 cm = 132 rows) 48 cm = 140 rows from lower placket, bind off 1 x 5 (5) 7 sts for shoulder chamfers from both sides, then, bind off 3 x 5 sts and 2 x 6 sts (5 x 6 sts) 5 x 6 sts. At the same time, in 45 cm = 130 rows (47,5 cm = 138 rows) 50 cm = 146 rows from lower placket, bind off the central 35 (37) 39 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts in the next 2nd row from inwards for smooth rounding. In 47 cm = 136 rows (49,5 cm = 144 rows) 52 cm = 152 rows from lower placket, bind off the rest 6 (6) 7 sts of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as for back, but for neck-hole, bind off the central 15 (17) 19 sts in 43 cm = 124 rows (45,5 cm = 132 rows) 48 cm = 140 rows from lower placket, then, bind off 2 x 4 sts and 3 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards for smooth rounding.

Sleeves

Cast on 50 (54) 58 sts for each sleeve with knitting needles 4 and make placket in the same way, as for back, increase 1 st in the last WS row = 51 (55) 59 sts. Continue work with pattern of slipped sts with knitting needles 5,5. At the same time, increase, 9 x 1 st in every 8th and 10th rows by turn (10 x 1 st in every 8th row) 11 x 1 st in every 8th row = 69 (75) 81 sts. In 31,5 cm = 92 rows from placket, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For trim, cast on 104 (108) 112 sts and make 1 circle row of purls. Continue work with 1 x 1 rib. At 3 cm width of trim, bind off all the sts. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
