You’ll need:

100% cotton yarn in beige, light-green, pink, yellow and blue colors;

Crochet hook 3,75 mm;

Small rattle;

Stuffing;

Scraps of black yarn for embroidery.

Size: diameter = 9 cm.

Height (without ears) = 16 cm.

Instructions

Circular Handle

Using 3.75 mm hook and pink yarn make 12ch, join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnds 1-3: 1ch, 1dc in each st to end

Change to green yarn.

Rnds 4-7: 1ch, 1dc in each st to end

Note: work in full four row stripe sequence throughout: yellow, blue, beige, pink, green, yellow, blue.

Rnds 8-35: rep Rnds 4-7 seven times

Fasten off, leaving a 30cm tail

Head

Using 3.75mm hook and beige yarn make a magic ring, work 1ch, 6dc into ring. Six sts

Rnd 1: 2dc in each st to end. 12 sts

Rnd 2: (2dc in next st, 1dc) to end. 18 sts

Rnd 3: (2dc in next st, 2dc) to end. 24 sts

Rnd 4: (2dc in next st, 3dc) to end. 30 sts

Rnds 5-9: 1dc in each st to end

Rnd 10: (dc2tog, 3dc) to end. 24 sts

Rnd 11: (dc2tog, 2dc) to end. 18 sts

Rnd 12:(dc2tog, 1dc) to end. 12 sts

Fasten off, leaving a 30cm tail

Ear

Make two

Using 3.75mm hook and beige yarn make a magic ring, work 6dc into ring

Rnd 1: (2dc in next st, 1dc) to end. Nine sts

Rnds 2-4:1dc in each st to end

Rnd 5:(2dc in next st, 2dc) to end. 12 sts

Rnds 6-7:1dc in each st to end

Rnd 8: (dc2tog, 2dc) to end. Nine sts

Rnds 9-11: 1dc in each st to end

Rnd 12: (dc2tog, 1dc) to end. Six sts

Fasten off, leaving a 30cm tail

Assembly

Stuff head firmly, adding a small plastic rattle insert inside. Flatten ears and sew to head using yarn tail. Embroider eyes and mouth in black yarn and nose in pink yarn. Stuff circular handle lightly. Sew ends tog to form a ring. Sew head onto circular handle, join.
