Knit Pullover with Rhombs

You’ll need:

300 (325) 350g of light-blue yarn (45% polyamide, 30% alpaca, 25% wool; 113m/25g);

Knitting needles 4;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Rhombs pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. In WS rows make all knit sts as knit sts, purls and yarn overs – as cross purl. Start with 1 selvage st and st before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-72nd rows.

1 x 1 rib.

Stitches control: rhombs pattern: 23,5 sts x 24,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

1 x 1 rib: 23 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 113 (123) 133 sts and make 1 WS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, *1 purl, 1 knit st*, 1 selvage st. Don’t take this row into account. Continue work with rhombs pattern. In 47,5 cm = 116 rows (45,5 cm = 112 rows) 43,5 cm = 106 rows from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 10 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 93 (103) 113 sts. In 65,5 cm = 160 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 41 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 68,5 cm = 168 rows from placket, bind off the rest 19 (24) 29 sts of shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, in 63 cm = 154 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 31 sts, then, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 65 sts for each sleeve and work with 1 x 1 rib. At the same time, increase, 16 x 1 st in every 6th and 8th rows from both sides for sleeve chamfers (15 x 1 st in every 6th row and 6 x 1 st in every 4th row) 6 x 1 st in every 6th row and 20 x 1 st in every 4th row due to the pattern = 97 (107) 117 sts. In 52 cm = 130 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For collar, cast on 128 sts from inwards along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and work with 1 x 1 rib in circle rows. In 28 cm from the beginning of collar, bind off all the sts due to the pattern. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
