You’ll need:

300 (350) 400g of blue-lilac mélange Estio yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyacryl; 105m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Rib, knitting needles 4, straight and reversed rows: the quantity of sts is odd. 1 selvage st, * 1 purl, 1 knit st*, 1 purl, 1 selvage st. Make WS rows as sts face. Circle rows: the quantity of sts is even: * 1 knit st, 1 purl*.

Relief pattern with rhombs, knitting needles 4,5: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 5 (1) 5 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. For sizes S and L, start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. For size M, start with 1 selvage st and sts from arrow A, repeat the pattern, finish with sts before arrow B and 1 slevage st. Repeat 1st-12th rows.

Stitches control: 18 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 79 (87) 91 sts and make 4 cm of rib for placket. Then, work with relief pattern with rhombs. In 27 cm = 68 rows from rib, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 61 (69) 73 sts. In 44 cm = 110 rows (46,5 cm = 116 rows) 49 cm = 122 rows from rib, bind off 1 x 4 (4) 5 sts for shoulder chamfer from both sides, then, bind off 3 x 4 (5) 5 sts in every 2nd row. At the same time with the 1st decrease for shoulder chamfer, bind off the central 23 (25) 27 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 46,5 cm = 116 rows (49 cm = 122 rows) 51,5 cm = 128 rows from rib, bind off all sts as they face.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, in 36 cm = 90 rows (38,5 cm = 96 rows) 41 cm = 102 rows from rib, bind off the central 13 (15) 17 sts, then, bind off 3 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 43 (51) 55 sts and make placket in the same way, as for back. Then, work with relief pattern with rhombs. For chamfers, increase 6 x 1 st from both sides, starting from rib in every 14th row, include the increased sts in the pattern = 55 (63) 67 sts. In 39 cm = 98 rows from rib, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for sleeve cap, then, bind off 1 x 2 sts, 10 x 1 st, 2 x 3 sts (3 x 2 sts, 8 x 1 st and 2 x 3 sts) 5 x 2 sts, 6 x 1 st and 2 x 3 sts in every 2nd row. In 50,5 cm = 126 rows from rib, bind off the rest 13 (17) 17 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 82 (86) 90 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make 3 cm of rib. Then, bind off sts as they face. Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
