Oversized Knit Pullover
You’ll need:
150 (150) 200g of yarn (25% wool, 25% mohair, 20% polyacryl, 15% camel wool; 137m/25g) in natural white, olive and light-beige colors (each);
Knitting needles 6;
Circular knitting needles 6.
Size: S (M) L.
Note: work in 2 threads of yarn.
Used Patterns
Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 3 + 2 selvage sts.
RS rows: 1 selvage st, * insert knitting needle in the st, as making knit st, then, twist the yarn around knitting needle twice and draw through the st (= double yarn over on the knitting needle), make the next st in the same way, slip 1 purl, yarn behind work*; repeat from * to *;
WS rows: * 1 purl, transfer the next double yarn over to the auxiliary needle as purl, slip 1 yarn over, auxiliary needle in front of work, next double yarn over as purl, slip 1 yarn over, 1 purl from the auxiliary needle*; repeat from * to *.
Stripes order: * 2 natural white rows, 2 olive rows, 2 light-beige rows*; repeat from * to *.
Placket in the shape of piping: cast on 3 sts with natural white yarn and insert on the top of LH needle before the previously left sts. * 2 knit sts, knit2tog to the left, insert 3 sts to the top of LH needle, yarn from WS of work*; repeat from * to * until all the previously left sts are in work. Bind off the rest 3 sts, fasten the yarn.
Stitches control: 13 sts x 16,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 77 (83) 89 sts with natural white yarn in criss-cross method and work with the main pattern due to the stripes order. For raglan chamfers, bind off 1 x 5 sts from both sides in 54,5 cm = 90 rows (52 cm = 86 rows) 49,5 cm = 82 rows from the set-up row, then, bind off 8 (9) 10 x 2 sts in every 4th row. In 76 cm = 126 rows from the set-up row, leave the rest 35 (37) 39 sts on the auxiliary needle.
Front
Make in the same way, as back.
Sleeves
For each sleeve, cast on 28 (34) 40 sts with natural white yarn in criss-cross method, increase 13 sts in WS row after the set-up row = 41 (47) 53 sts. Continue work with the main pattern due to the stripes order. For raglan chamfers, bind off 1 x 5 sts in 47,5 cm = 78 rows (45 cm = 74 rows) 42,5 cm = 70 rows from the set-up row, then, bind off 4 (5) 6 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 4th row. In 69 cm = 114 rows from the set-up row, leave the rest 11 sts on the auxiliary needle.
Assembly
Make raglan seams. Cast on the previously left 35 (37) 39 sts of back, 7 (9) 11 sts of left sleeve, 35 (37) 39 sts of front and 7 (9) 11 sts of right sleeve with circular knitting needles = 84 (92) 100 sts and make placket in the shape of piping. Make side and sleeve seams.
