Silver-Grey Crochet Poncho
You’ll need:
250g of silver-grey yarn (40% cotton, 40% polyacryl, 16% polyamide, 4% polyester; 250m/50g);
Crochet hook 2,5.
Size: 103 x 130 cm.
Used Patterns
Lower fringe: work due to the scheme 1. Make 1st-6th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-6th rows, finish with the 7th and 8th rows due to the scheme.
Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 15 + 13 sts. Work due to the scheme 2 straight on the left side of lower fringe. Area, marked with grey color, means pattern repeat of 15 sts.
Lower fringe is stated under the scheme with light-grey color. 1 pattern repeat of the main pattern, work to the 4th row of fringe accordingly. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat, decrease sts along left side due to the scheme.
Make right side edge straight without decreases. Make 1st WS row x once, then, repeat 2nd-7th rows.
Side fringe: due to the scheme 3. Continue work with the fasten yarn of lower fringe and at first make corner motif (= row of the scheme, marked with grey color).
Then, make 5th-6th rows x once due to the scheme, then, repeat 3rd-6th rows, connect your work with right side of shawl with 1 slip st.
Stitches control: fringe = 5 cm wide;
Main pattern: 38 sts x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Note: at first, make lower fringe across. Then, make shawl on the left side edge of this fringe and make side fringe on the straight right side.
Instructions
Make 8 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and make lower fringe. In 100 rows from the set-up row, finish your work, fasten the yarn and don’t cut it.
Then, work with the main pattern on the left side of lower fringe due to the scheme, start with 1 WS row = 23 pattern repeats + initial and final sts or 373 sts.
Decrease 1 pattern repeat every 6 rows. In 125 cm = 150 rows from the beginning, finish your work. Then, continue work for side fringe for lower placket, at first, make corner motif, then, work due to the scheme. In 144 rows from the corner motif, finish your work.
