Instructions

Work as one-piece cloth, starting from the left sleeve. Make 63 (69) chain sts with crochet hook 3,5 and then work with fancy pattern A, make increases due to the scheme 1 from both sides = 60 (66) double crochets in the 1st row. In 22 cm = 18 rows from the set-up row, finish sleeve. Continue work on 109 (115) sts for back and left front and work with fancy pattern B, make increases in the 1st row from both sides: 4 x 9 sts, 1 x 18 sts, 5 x 9 sts, 1 x 18 sts in every 2nd row (due to the scheme 1). Then, continue work on 217 (241) sts = 36 (40) motifs.  In 40 (43) cm = 39 (43) rows from the set-up row, work in the first 18 (20) motifs, make decreases due to the scheme 2 for back neck-hole. In 24 (27) cm = 29 (33) rows from the beginning of neck-hole, leave sts. Continue work on the last 18 (20) motifs of left front, decrease 4 motifs from the right side for neck-hole due to the scheme. In 15 (16,5) cm = 18 (20) rows from the beginning of neck-hole, bind off sts. Left front is ready, there are 13 (16) motifs left. Make 87 (101) chain sts and work with fancy pattern B, start due to the scheme 2. In 15 (16,5) cm = 18 (20) rows from the beginning of neck-hole, you will get 16 (18) motifs, make 6 chain sts in the end of the last row, then, make 1 slip st in back neck-hole (see the scheme 2) and bind off st. Then, work on motifs of back and right front = 36 (40) motifs. In 11 (13) cm = 13 (17) rows from the end of neck-hole, decrease 1 x 18 sts, 4 x 9 sts, 1 x 18 sts, 5 x 9 sts in every 2nd row from both sides. For decreases, make 1 slip st in every decreased st from the both sides of the 1st row. For right sleeve continue work on the rest 109 (115) sts with fancy pattern A due to the scheme 3. Sleeve is finished after the last row of the scheme.

Assembly

Make 1 row of “crab stitch” with crochet hook 3 along the edge of front and neck-hole, make sleeve and side seams. Sew buttons.

Thank you for sharing this pattern, for this beautiful sweater!  I would love to make it, however; my brain does not understand the directions.  Is there a video, maybe?  Thank you again!
