2^nd and all the even rows: as sts face;

3^rd and 5^th rows: 2 purls, * 8 knit sts, 2 purls, slip the 1^st broaching, 1 yarn over, slip the 1^st broaching, 1 yarn over, 3 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *;

7^th row: 2 purls, * 8 knit sts, 2 purls, 1 knit st, slip the 1^st broaching, 1 yarn over, slip the 1^st broaching, 1 yarn over, 3 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *;
