You’ll need:

16 (17) 18 (19) skeins of grey-green yarn (100% wool; 112m/50g);

Knitting needles 3,5;

Circular knitting needles 3,5 (80 cm long)/ 3 (60 cm long);

Crochet hook 2,5.

Size: 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL).

Chest circumference: 101 (111) 121 (131) cm;

Lower edge circumference: 141 (152) 163 (174 cm);

Length: 90 (92) 94 (98) cm.

Stitches control: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Lower Part

Cast on 356 (380) 404 (428) sts and work with 2 x 2 rib around. In 8 cm, work with knit sts, decrease 42 sts (in every 2nd pair pf purls as purl2tog) = 314 (338) 362 (386) sts. Mark 1 st (= left side seam) and work from the marker in the following way: 26 (29) 32 (35) knit sts, place marker for the next decreases, 26 (29) 32 (35) knit sts, 53 sts with relief pattern due to the scheme, 26 (29) 32 (35) knit st, bind off. Make the second cut in the same way.

Connect the edges of cuts with 4 buttons, place marker for the next decreases, 26 (29) 32 (35) knit st, place marker. Make the second half of the row in the same way. In 16 (17) 18 (19) rows from rib, make knit2tog from both sides of marker (totally, decrease 8 sts in a row). Repeat these decreases 11 times in every 16th (17th) 18th (19th) row = 226 (250) 274 (298) sts. At 67 cm height, leave 113 (125) 137 (149) sts between seam markers on the auxiliary needle. Then, make front and back separately in straight and reversed directions.

Back

Work with stockinette stitch and relief pattern due to the scheme, bind off 4, 3, 2 (5, 3 2) 6, 3, 2 (7, 3, 2) sts from both sides for arm-holes. Then, make decreases for raglan chamfers in every RS row in the following way: 1 selvage st as knit st, cross knit2tog, due to the scheme to the last 3 sts of row, knit2tog, 1 selvage st as knit st. Make decreases, until there are 39 (43) 47 (51) sts left. Bind off the sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. When there are 55 (57) 63 (67) sts left, bind off the central 21 (25) 23 (27) sts and finish both sides separately, continue making raglan decreases. Bind off 3 x 1 st at neck-hole for all the sizes.

Sleeves

Cast on 110 (118) 126 (134) sts and work with 2 x 2 rib (1st row = WS row). At 8 cm height, decrease 11 sts in WS row = 99 (107) 115 (123) sts. Then, divide the sts in order to make relief pattern on the central 37 sts and work with stockinette stitch from both sides of these sts. At 10 cm height from the set-up row, bind off 5, 3, 2 (6, 3, 2) 7, 3, 2 (8, 3, 2) sts. Then, make decreases for raglan chamfers in the same way, as for back: at first, 0 (2) 4 (6) times in every RS 2nd row, then in every row. When there are 29 (33) 37 (41) sts left on the knitting needles, bind off 6, 6, 7, 7 (7, 7, 8, 8) 8, 8, 9, 9 (9, 9, 10, 10) sts. Bind off the rest sts in one row.

Assembly

Make sleeve and raglan seams.

Collar

Cast on 136 (152) 168 (184) sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles 3 and work with 1 circle row of knit sts, decrease 0 (4) 8 (12) sts in the 1st row = 136 (148) 160 (172) sts. Then, work with 2 x 2 rib. Mark 2 knit sts at the level of shoulder seams. Increase 1 st between these sts. Repeat these increases x 7 times in every 4th row (= 16 sts). Include the increased sts in the pattern. Bind off all the sts at 30 cm height.
