Fancy Crochet Plaid
You’ll need:
250g of lilac Fumato yarn (42% merino wool, 40% polyamide, 18% alpaca; 225m/50g);
200g of the same yarn, but in burgundy color;
200g of the same yarn, but in grey-brown color;
200g of the same yarn, but in olive color;
Crochet hook 5.
Size: 145 x 210 cm.
Used Patterns
“Shells” pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 1 chain st increase. Work due to the scheme. Start every row with 1 chain st increase in addition to the 1st single crochet or 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-5th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-5th rows.
Stripes order: 1 lilac row, * 2 burgundy rows, 2 grey-brown rows, 2 olive rows and 2 lilac rows*; repeat from * to *, 2 burgundy rows, 2 grey-brown rows, 2 olive rows and 1 lilac row.
Stitches control: 16 sts x 5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Make 231 chain sts and work with “shells” pattern due to the stripes order. Finish your work in 104 rows from the set-up row.
Assembly
Fasten the edges with 1 circle row of “shells” pattern (= 1st row of the scheme) with lilac yarn, make 52 semi-circles on the side edges and 23 semi-circles along the upper and lower edges.
