​Stylish Knit Hoodie

You’ll need:

600 (650)g of camel color Fiormo yarn (100% merino wool; 120m/50g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 5;

Crochet hook 4.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 26 + 18 (0) + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS rows due to the pattern. Start with 1 selvage st and 9 (0) sts of wrong-side pattern, pattern repeat, finish with 9 (0) sts of wrong-side pattern and 1 selvage st. Make 1^st-16^th rows x 4 times (for sleeves 6 times), then, 17^th-34^th rows x once, after that, repeat 31^st-34^th rows. For both sizes, start with 1 knit st in the 31^st-34^th rows in the 1^st pattern repeat and finish with 1 knit st in the last pattern repeat.

Stitches control: main pattern: 21 sts x 27,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 85 (93) sts and make 3 cm = 8 rows of stockinette stitch for placket between selvage sts, increase 13 sts in the last row = 98 (106) sts; then, work with the main pattern. In 27,5 cm = 76 rows (29 cm = 80 rows) from the placket, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, 2 x 2 sts and 5 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 74 (82) sts. In 48 cm = 132 rows (51 cm = 140 rows) from the placket, bind off 6 (5) sts from both sides for shoulder chamfer and 3 x 6 (7) sts in every 2^nd row. At the same time with the 1^st decrease for shoulder chamfer, bind off the central 14 (18) sts of neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 50 cm = 138 rows (53 cm = 146 rows) from the placket, bind off all the sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with holes for cord and deeper neck-hole. At first, make knit2tog before and after the last 4 sts in the 7^th row of the placket, cast in 1 st in the next row. For deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 12 (16) sts from the placket in 44,5 cm = 122 rows (47,5 cm = 130 rows); then, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 44 (50) sts and work with the main pattern, divide the sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, the last 8 (11) sts of pattern repeat x once, pattern repeat, the first 8 (11) sts of pattern repeat x once, 1 selvage st. At the same time, increase, 10 x 1 st in every 10^th and 12^th rows from both sides for shoulder chamfers, start with the set-up row, include the increased sts in the pattern = 64 (70) sts. In 42 cm = 116 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, 5 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, 3 x 1 st in every 4^th row, 3 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row. In 55 cm = 152 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 18 (24) sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; cast on 82 (90) sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make 3 circle rows of purls, then, bind off all the sts as knit sts. For hood, cast on 88 (96) sts along the neck-hole and work with the main pattern, divide the sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, the last 15 sts of pattern repeat x once, pattern repeat, the first 2 (6) sts of pattern repeat x once = center of back. Mark both central sts in the middle of back. At the same time, for back chamfer, knit 10 x 1 cross purl in every 2^nd row before and after the marked sts = 108 (116) sts. In 24,5 cm = 68 rows from the beginning of hood, make knit2tog from both sides of the marked sts. Make such decreases x 9 times in every 2^nd row = 88 (96) sts. In 32 cm = 88 rows from the beginning of hood, bind off all the sts. Fold the hood in the middle and make seams. Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeves seams.
