You’ll need:

225 (275) 325g of white Colima yarn (80% royal mohair, 20% polyester; 100m/25g);

Straight knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

Circle knitting needles 3,5 and 4.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

2 x 2rib;

Garter stitch: all knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Pattern with holes: the quantity of sts is odd. RS row: * knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 knit st, 1 selvage st;

WS row: all purls between selvage sts;

Fringe: 3 rows of garter stitch, start with WS row, 2 rows of stockinette stitch, 2 rows of pattern with holes, 4 rows of garter stitch, 2 rows of stockinette stitch = 13 rows;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-24th rows.

Stitches control: 17,5 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 83 (93) 103 sts and make 4 cm (= 13 rows) with fringe. Then, work with relief pattern. In 36 cm = 102 rows (34 cm = 96 rows) 32 cm = 90 rows from fringe, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts and 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 63 (73) 83 sts. In 53 cm (= 148 rows) from fringe, bind off the central 19 (21) 23 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 56 cm (= 158 rows) from fringe, bind off the rest 16 (20) 24 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, in 26 cm (= 72 rows) from fringe, bind off the central 7 (9) 11 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row, 4 x 1 st in every 4th row, 2 x 1 st in every 6th row.

Sleeves

Cast on 43 (53) 63 sts and make 4 cm (= 13 rows) of fringe. Then, work with relief pattern. At the same time, increase 10 x 1 st (9 x 1 st in every 10th and 12th rows by turn) 7 x 1 st in every 14th row for sleeve chamfers from both sides, include the increased sts in the pattern = 63 (71) 77 sts. In 38 cm (= 106 rows) from fringe, bind off 2 (3) 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, 1 x 2 sts and 6 x 1 st in every 2nd row, 2 x 1st in every 4th row, 6 x 1 st and 1 x 2 (3) 4 sts in every 2nd row. In 51,5 cm (= 144 rows) from fringe, bind off the rest 23 (27) 31 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 180 (184) 188 sts with circle knitting needles 3,5 along the neck-hole line and work with rib, make 2 purls in the center of front. At 3 cm collar height, increase 1 st from both sides of 2 central purls of front, then, increase 7 x 1 st in every 2nd circle row from crossed yarn = 196 (200) 204 sts, include the increased sts in rib pattern. At 6 cm collar height, continue work with circle knitting needles 4 and at 13 cm height, bind off all the sts loosely due to the ornament. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
