Straight knitting needles 4, 4,5 and 5;

Circle knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

Stitch markers.

Size: S; M; L; XL.

Width of upper part: 100; 108; 116; 124 cm.

Length: 60; 61; 62; 64 cm.

Used Patterns

Pattern 1 – stockinette stitch: RS – knit sts, WS – purls;

Pattern 2 – relief: due to the scheme. Make WS rows due to the ornament, yarn overs as purls. Make 1^st-22^nd rows once;

Pattern 3: 1 knit st, 1 purl.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch with knitting needles 5: 18 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front

This detail is made as one-piece cloth to arm-holes.

Cast on 187; 203; 219; 235 sts with knitting needles 4,5. Make 1 row of purls on WS with knitting needles 4. Then, make 6 rows with pattern 1 and knitting needles 4,5, place marker after 47; 51; 55; 59 sts and after 140; 152; 164; 176 sts. These are “side lines”. Make 1 selvedge st, pattern 2, 1 selvedge st. Continue work with pattern 1 and knitting needles 5 after 22 rows.

Rounding

At 19 cm height from the beginning of work, make 1 broaching before marker (slip 1 st, 1 knit st, draw it through the slipped st), 1 knit st, and after marker: 1 knit st, knit2tog. You should get 183; 199; 215; 231 sts. Continue knitting straight.

Neck-Hole

At 34 cm height from the beginning of work, decrease 1 st x 12 in every 4^th row + 1 st x 6 in every 2^nd row; 1 st x 13 in every 4^th row + 1 st x 6 in every 2^nd row; 1 st x 14 in every 4^th row + 1 st x 6 in every 2^nd row; 1 st x 13 in every 4^th row + 1 st x 8 in every 2^nd row. At the same time, at 38 cm height from the beginning of work, divide your work in 3 parts along the lines of markers. Then, continue knitting front and back separately.

Back

It is made on 89; 97; 105; 113 sts.

Arm-Hole

Bind off 2 sts x 2; 2; 3; 3 from both sides in a row and decrease 1 st x 6; 8; 8; 10 times. As a result, you should get 69; 73; 77; 81 sts. After getting 20; 21; 22; 24 cm from the arm-hole line, bind off the first 17; 18; 19; 20 sts and the last 17; 18; 19; 20 sts – for shoulders, central 35; 37; 39; 41 sts – for neck-hole.

Right Front

Continue knitting neck-hole. At the same time, make arm-hole from the left side, as it is described in the previous element. At 60; 61; 62; 64 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 17; 18; 19; 20 sts.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right.

Sleeves

Cast on 43; 43; 51; 51 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 1 row of purls on WS with knitting needles 4. Then, make 6 rows of stockinette stitch with knitting needles 4,5. Make 1 selvedge st, pattern 2, 1 selvedge st. After 22 rows, continue with pattern 1 and knitting needles 5. At the same time, at 8 cm height from the beginning of work, increase 1 st x 1 from both sides. You should get 45; 45; 53; 53 sts. Repeat these increases 7 times in every 8^th row, 9 times in every 8^th and 10^th rows by turn, 6 times in every 10^th row, 8 times in every 8^th row. Totally, 59; 63; 65; 69 sts.

Sleeve Cap

At 38 cm height, bind off 2 sts x 2; 2; 3; 3 in every 2^nd row from both sides, decrease 1 st x 15, 2 sts x 1 and 3 sts x 1. At 15; 15; 16; 15 cm from the beginning of rounding, bind off the rest sts.

Assembly

Sew up shoulder seams.

Fastening

Cast on 289; 295; 301; 311 sts with circle knitting needles 4,5 on front and back (68 sts to the bottom of neck-hole and vice versa 58; 60; 62; 66 sts on the neck-hole, 37; 39; 41; 43 sts on back). Make 3 rows with pattern 3, continue with pattern 1 and knitting needles 4. After 6 rows of pattern 1, bind off the sts. Sew the sleeves.
