Knit Pullover with Wrap Over
You’ll need:
600g of violet Mondial Polaris yarn (70% merino wool, 30% acryl; 100m/50g);
Straight knitting needles 4,5 and 5;
8 buttons;
Tapestry needle.

Used Patterns
Double rib: cast on the half of the needed quantity of sts with contrast yarn:
1st row: working yarn, * 1 knit st, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *;
2nd row: * yarn over as knit st, slip 1 purl without knitting it, in front of work*; repeat from * to *;
3rd and all the following rows: * 1 knit st, slip 1 purl, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *, take off the contrast yarn in the ready-made detail.
2 x 1 rib: 2 knit sts, 1 purl by turn;
Cabled pattern (the quantity of sts is multiple 8):
1st, 3rd, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th rows: * 1 purl, 6 knit sts, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;
2nd and all the even rows: purl;
5th row: * 1 purl, cross 6 sts to the right (leave 3 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 3 knit sts and 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle), 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;
15th row: repeat the pattern from the 5th row.
Stitches control: cabled pattern: 22 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Front and Yoke of Back
Make as one-piece work, start from the left front. Cast on 72 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 6 rows of double rib. Turn to knitting needles 5 and make the edging 5 sts from both sides with double rib, the rest sts – with cabled pattern.
Make shorten rows in the following way:
9th row: knit 28 sts, turn, knit 28 sts;
11th row: knit 46 sts, turn, knit 46 sts;
13th row: knit 60 sts, turn, knit 60 sts;
15th row: knit 72 sts, turn, knit 72 sts.
Repeat the shorten rows in every 20 rows. At 170 cm height, make 4 rows of double rib and bind off the sts with kitchener’s stitch.
Back
Cast on 79 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 6 rows of double rib. Turn to knitting needles 5 and work with 2 x 1 rib, making the edging 3 sts from both sides with double rib. At 30 cm height, bind off all the sts.
Sleeves
Cast on 43 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and make 6 rows of double rib. Turn to knitting needles 5 and work with 2 x 1 rib, increase 14 x 1 st in every 6th row. In 42 cm, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides, then, decrease 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 44 cm, bind off the rest sts.
Assembly
Sew the upper edge of back to the middle part of stripe, made with cabled pattern. Sew up the sleeves and make sleeve seams. Cross both free ends of stripe and sew the edges to the sides of back. Sew 4 buttons.
