You’ll need:

3/4 skeins of Lana Grossa Evento yarn (65% cotton, 35% merino wool; 160m/50g) in grey-black, brown-black colors (each);

Straight knitting needles 7;

Circle knitting needles 7 (80 cm long).

Size: S, M.

Note: make all the details with 2 threads of yarn – 1 thread of each color yarn.

Used Patterns

Beaded edge: slip the 1st st of every row as knit st, make the last st of every row as purl. Make all the details with beaded edges;

Garter stitch: all knit sts;

Pattern with cables: due to the scheme. Start with 1 selvage st and 2 sts before arrow C, repeat 19 sts of pattern repeat x twice between arrows A and B, finish with sts before arrow D (E) and 1 selvage st. Increase 12 sts in the pattern in the 2nd row and 2 sts in the end of row. Make 1st-15th rows x once, then, repeat 4th-15th rows, finish with 16th and 17th rows.

Stitches control: garter stitch: 14 sts x 19,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with cables: 18 sts x 19,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front with Sleeves

Knit across as one-piece work. Start from the left sleeve. Cast on 44/48 sts and work with pattern with cables, but at first, make 1 cm = 1 WS row with knit sts for narrow placket. Then, divide all the sts, as it’s described and make increases in the 2nd row = 70/74 sts. In 13 cm from the set-up row, cast on 27/29 sts from the right edge of back, from the left edge of front (each), totally, 124/132 sts. Then, work with circle knitting needles. Knit the sts of front and back with garter stitch. In 8/10,5 cm from the beginning of back and front, divide your work in the middle for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. At first, continue knitting the back straight from the right edge on 62/66 sts of front from the left edge and leave the sts. In 24 cm from the beginning of neck-hole, leave the sts of back. Then, knit on the previously left sts of front, bind off 3 sts from the right edge of, then, 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row, there are 53/57 sts left. Knit 22 rows straight. Increase 1 st in the next RS row from the right edge, then, 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row, then, increase 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts. Include the increased sts in pattern with cables. In 24 cm from the beginning of neck-hole, knit on all the sts. In 8/10,5 cm from the beginning of neck-hole, bind off 27/29 sts of front and back from both sides, there are 70/74 sts left.
Then, work with pattern with cables in symmetry to the beginning of work. In 12 cm from the ending of front and back, make 2 rows of garter stitch, decrease 26 sts in the 1st row on sts of the pattern with cables, there are 44/48 sts left. Bind off all the sts as knit sts.

Assembly

Cast on 30 sts for the collar and work with garter stitch. In 54 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts. Sew the sides. Sew the collar to the neck-hole and turn it in half. Make sleeve and side seams.
