350 (400) 450g of Setanova light-grey yarn (60% silk, 40% cotton; 150m/50g);

Straight and circle knitting needles 3,5;

3 silver button-hooks.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS rows sts and yarn overs as purls, if 2 yarn overs, make the 1^st yarn over as purl, 2^nd yarn over – as crossed purl. Start with 1 selvedge st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvedge st. Repeat 1^st-8^th rows.

Placket of ruffles: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 3 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme 2, on which only RS rows and 1 WS row are stated, make WS rows sts and yarn overs as purls or as stated. Start with 1 selvedge st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvedge st. Make 1^st-14^th rows x twice, 15^th-22^nd rows x once = totally, 36 rows.

Stitches control: 21 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Placket of ruffles: 36 rows = 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 92 (100) 108 sts and make 1 WS row of purls (don’t take this row into account). Then, work with relief pattern. At the same time, bind off 6 x 1 st in every 6^th row from both sides for better fitting = 80 (88) 96 sts. In 15,5 cm = 46 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides and 5 x 1 st in every 10^th (10^th) 8^th rows = 92 (100) 108 sts, including the increased sts in the pattern. In 36 cm = 108 rows (33,5 cm = 100 rows) 31,5 cm = 94 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 76 (84) 92 sts. In 52 cm = 156 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 46 sts and finish both parts separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row. In 54 cm = 162 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 11 (15) 19 sts for shoulders from both sides.

Left Front

Cast on 44 (48) 52 sts and make 1 WS row of purls. Then, work with relief pattern. Make better fitting from the right side in the same way, as for back. At the same time, in 12 cm = 36 rows from the set-up row, bind off 1 st for shoulder chamfer from the left side and 24 x 1 st in every 4^th and 6^th rows by turn. Make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back. Bind off the rest 11 (15) 19 sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in the symmetry to the left half.

Assembly

Cast on 56 sts along the neck-hole line with circle knitting needles, make 1,5 cm of stockinette stitch and bind off all the sts as knit sts. Cast on 24 sts along the straight edges of front with circle knitting needles and make plackets in the same way. Make shoulder seams. Cast on 105 sts for the plackets of front and make placket with ruffles. In 10 cm = 36 rows from the set-up edge bind off all the sts. For sleeve plackets, cast on 95 (105) 115 sts and make a placket with ruffles in the same way.
