Used Patterns

2 x 2 rib;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multipled 16 + 1 selvedge st. Work due to the scheme. Make wrong-side rows due to the ornament, yarn overs – as purls. Repeat 1^st-8^th rows;

Wrong-side: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Stitches control: on relief pattern: 23 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Cast on 114 (122) 130 sts and make rib, start with the WS row: 1 selvedge st, * 1 knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 selvedge st.

In 6 cm turn to the relief pattern: 1 selvedge sts, 7 pattern repeats, (1 selvedge st, 4 sts before pattern repeat, 7 pattern repeats, 4 sts after pattern repeat, 1 selvedge st), 1 selvedge st, 8 pattern repeats, 1 selvedge st.

After that, knit straight for 61 cm. Bind off 5 sts x 1 from both sides for shoulders, then, 5 sts x 2 in a row, 6 (7) 8 sts x 4.

Bind off the central 18 sts for the neck-hole after 63 cm. Finish each part from the separate skein. Bind off 3 sts x 3 for smooth rounding in every even row.

Left Front

Cast on 39 (43) 47 sts and make rib, start from the WS row: * 1 purl, 2 knit sts, 1 purl*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 selvedge st.

In 6 cm turn to the relief pattern: 1 selvedge st, 2 pattern repeats, 4 sts after pattern repeat,1 purl, 1 selvedge st, (1 selvedge st, 4 sts before pattern repeat, 2 pattern repeats, 4 sts after pattern repeat, 1 purl, 1 selvedge st), 1 selvedge st, 2 pattern repeats, 1^st-13^th sts of pattern once, 1 selvedge st.

Knit straight to the needed height – see the schemes. Repeat the scheme of back for shoulder chamfers.

Right Front

In reflection to left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 50 (54) 54 sts and make rib, start from the WS row: 1 selvedge st, * 1 purl, 2 knit sts, 1 purl*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 selvedge st.

Increase 1 st x 10 in every 8^th row from both sides, 1 st x 10 in every 6^th row, (1 st x 4 in every 8^th row, 1 st x 18 in every 6^th row), 1 st x 20 in every 6^th row, 1 st x 4 in every 4^th row. There are 90 (98) 106 sts.

At 47 (46) 45 cm height, bind off the sts.

Assembly

Makeshoulderseams. Lift 404 sts for the placket by means of the crochet hook: 180 sts of each half of front, 44 sts of neck-hole line on back.

Make rib, start with WS row: 1 selvedge st, * 2 purls, 2 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, finish the row with 2 purls, 1 selvedge st.

After 6 cm, bind off the sts due to the ornament. Sew the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
