Note: slip sts as purls.

1^st row – RS (yarn A): 2 knit sts, slip 1 st, * 5 knit sts, slip 1 st*; repeat from * to * to the last 2 sts, 2 knit sts;

2^nd row (yarn A): 2 purls, slip 1 st, * 5 purls, slip 1 st*; repeat from * to * to the last 2 sts, 2 purls;

3^rd row (yarn B): 5 knit sts, * slip 1 st, 5 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row;

4^th row(yarn B): 5 knit sts, yarn in front of work, slip 1 st, yarn behind work, 5 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row.
