You’ll need:
Yarn (any you like);
Knitting needles 3.
Size: 8 cm diameter.
Instructions
Cast on 4 sts.
1st row: 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 selvedge sts = 6 sts;
2nd row: 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 6 knit sts (yarn over – as cross knit st) = 7 sts;
3rd row: 1 selvedge st, 1 yarn over, 7 purls (yarn over – as cross purl) = 8 sts.
Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows x twice. You should get 12 sts.
8th-15th rows: knit sts, see the scheme;
16th row: 1 selvedge st, slip 1 st, 1 knit st through the slipped st, 6 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 selvedge st = 10 sts;
17th row: 1 selvedge st, slip 1 st, 1 knit st through the slipped st, 4 purls, knit2tog, 1 selvedge st = 8 sts;
18th row: 1 selvedge st, slip 1 st, 1 knit st through the slipped st, knit2tog, 1 selvedge s = 6 sts;
19th row: 1 selvedge st, slip 1 st, 1 knit st through the slipped st, knit2tog, 1 selvedge st = 4 sts;
20th row: 1 selvedge st, , slip 1 st, 1 knit st through the slipped st, knit2tog = 3 sts;
21st row: knit3tog.
Make 5 more petals due to the scheme.
Cast on 110 sts with knitting needles 3 for the center.
1st row: 1 selvedge st, 109 knit sts;
2nd row: 1 selvedge st, * purl2tog*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 knit st = 56 sts;
3rd row: 1 selvedge st, 55 knit sts, see the scheme;
4th row: 1 selvedge st, *purl2tog, 4 purls*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 knit st = 47 sts;
5th row: knit;
6th row: 1 selvedge st, * purl2tog, 3 purls*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 knit st = 38 sts;
7th row: knit sts, see the scheme;
8th row: 1 selvedge st, * purl2tog*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 knit s = 38 sts;
9th row: knit;
10th row: 1 selvedge st, *purl2tog*; repeat from * to * to end of row, 1 knit st = 11 sts.
Cut the yarn, insert through the rest sts. Make a shape of rose, fasten and sew the base.
Sew the petals to the base.
