You’ll need:
100g of 100% cotton yarn (274m/100g);
Circle knitting needles 3,75 and 4 (40 cm long);
Crochet hook 4.
Head circumference: 53,5 cm.
Used Patterns
2 x 2 rib;
Knit2tog with left decline: knit2tog as you usually make;
Knit2tog with right decline: replace the 2nd and 1st sts on the left needle and knit them together.
Instructions
Cast on 96 sts with knitting needles 3,5 and turn to circle knitting. After making 5 rows with knit sts, turn to rib pattern.
After 12 rows of rib, change the pattern:
13th row: *knit2tog*; repeat from * to * to end of row. Totally, 144 sts;
14th row: knit.
Repeat 1st-10th rows x 5 times. Then, make decreases:
1st row: * 4 purls, (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 4 knit sts, (knit2tog with left decline) twice, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *;
2nd row: 3 purls, (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 4 knit sts, (knit2tog with left decline) twice, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *;
3rd row: * 3 purls, 6 knit sts, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *;
4th row: * 2 purls, (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 4 knit sts, (knit2tog with left decline) twice, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *;
5th row: * 2 purls, (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 2 knit sts, (knit2tog with left decline) twice, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *;
6th row: * 1 purl, (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 2 knit sts, (knit2tog with left decline) twice, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;
7th row: * 1 purl, 4 knit sts, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;
8th row: * (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 2 knit sts, (knit2tog with left decline) twice*; repeat from * to *;
9th row: *1 knit st, (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *;
10th row: * (knit2tog with right decline) twice, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *;
11th row: * (knit2tog with right decline) twice*. You should get 9 sts.
Cut the yarn, draw it through the rest sts, tighten and take out with the help of the crochet hook to the wrong side, fasten off.
