​Crochet Cap for Girl

You’ll need:

2 skeins of Nepal GarnStudio yarn of burgundy (65% wool. 35% Alpaca; 75m/50g);

1 skein of the same yarn, but red color;

Crochet hook 6.

Size: 3-5 (6-9) 10-12 years;

Head circumference: 50-52 (52-54) 54-58 cm.

Stitches control: 13 single crochets = 10 cm.

Note: make 1 chain st increase instead of the 1^st single crochet and finish with slip st.

Instructions

Make 4 chain sts with burgundy yarn and circle them in the ring by means of slip st.

1^st row: 6 single crochets in the ring;

2^nd row: 1 single crochet in every single crochet of the previous row = 12 sts;

3^rd row: * 1 single crochet in the 1^st crochet, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from *to * to end of row = 18 sts;

4^th row: * 1 single crochet in every of the 2 first crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 24 sts;

5^th row: * 1 single crochet in the first 3 crochets, 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 30 sts;

6^th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 4 crochets, , 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 36 sts;

7^th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 5 crochets, , 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 42 sts;

8^th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 6 crochets, , 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 48 sts;

9^th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 7 crochets, , 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 54 sts;

10^th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 8 crochets, , 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 60 sts;

11^th row: * 1 single crochet in the next 9 crochets, , 2 single crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row = 66 sts;

12^th row: 1 single crochet in every single crochet, increase 0-2-6 single crochets =66-68-72 sts.

13^th-17^th rows: 1 single crochet in every crochet;

18^th row: 1 single crochet in every single crochet, decrease 5-4-5 single crochets = 61-64-67 sts;

Make 1 single crochet in every crochet until you reach 16-17-18 cm height.

Visor

Work in front above the central 14-16-16 sts.

1^st row: 1 single crochet in every crochet;

2^nd row: 1 chain st, 2 single crochets in the 1^st crochet, 1 single crochet in every of the following 12-14-14 crochets, 2 single crochets in the last single crochet = 16-18-18 sts;

3^rd row: 1 chain st, 3 single crochets in the 1^st crochet, 1 single crochet in every crochet to the last one, 3 single crochets, 1 slip st in the next crochet = 20-22-22 sts;

4^th row: 1 chain st, 3 single crochets in the 1^st crochet, 1 single crochet in every single crochet to the last one, 3 single crochets, 1 slip st in the next crochet = 24-26-26 sts;

5^th row: single crochet in every single crochet of the visor and cap around;

6^th row: “shrimp stitch” (single crochets from right to left) along the visor and cap. Fasten the yarn and weave in the ends.

Flower

Circle chain sts in the ring by means of slip st (burgundy yarn).

1^st row: 2 chain sts (instead of the 1^st half double crochet), 2 half double crochets in the ring of chain sts, * 5 chain sts, 1 single crochet in the last half double crochet, 3 half double crochets in the ring of chain sts*; repeat from * to * x 5 times, 5 chain sts, 1 slip st in the 2^nd chain st;

2^nd row: change to red yarn and make 1 single crochet in the center of the first 3 half double crochets in the beginning of row, * 10 double crochets in the arch of chain sts, skip 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet in the next half double crochet, skip 1 half double crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row, slip st.

Sew the flower to the cap.
