- Color B: Brown Rose Marl (2 balls)
- Color C (optional): Muslin (less than 1 ball)
- Bag Handle: 35-40" ribbon, i-cord, thin rope, etc.
- Shown: Color C used to create i-cord using Embellish Knit
- Plastic Canvas - 2 pcs, cut to 5.5" x 4.75"
- Wooden Ring - 1 ⅞" exterior width

Note
- Yarn is held doubled throughout the pattern. Since 2 balls are needed, pull one end of both balls.
- Both the Bag Bottom and Main Bag patterns switch from Rows to Rounds.
- Some Rounds are turned - pay close attention to the end of each row of instructions.
Instructions
Bag Bottom
Row 1: With Color A, ch 25, skip ch closest to the hook, sc in each rem ch across; turn. (24 sts)
Row 2 - 24: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn.
Rnd 25 [RS]: Ch 1, sc in each st across, ch 1, sc 24 across side of piece, ch 1, sc in each foundation chain, ch 1, sc across last side of piece, ch 1; join with sl st in first sc. Break yarn and set piece aside. (96 sc, 4 ch-1 sps)
Main Bag
Rows 1-24: With Color A, repeat Rows 1 - 24 of Bag Bottom.
Rnd 25: Ch 1, sc in each st across, sc 24 across side of piece, sc in each foundation chain, sc across last side of piece; join with sl st in first sc and turn. (96 sc)
Rnd 26 - 35: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join and turn. After Rnd 35, break yarn and finish off.
Rnd 36: Join to first st with Color B, ch 1, sc in each st around; join and turn.
Rnd 37: Ch 2, sc3tog in first 3 sts, ch 1, *sc3tog in previous st and next 2 sts, ch 1; rep from * around until 1 st rem, sc3tog in previous st, next st, and first st of prev row; join to ch-2 sp and turn.
Rnd 38: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch-1 sp around; join and turn.
Rnds 39 - 56: Rep Rows 37 and 38.
Rnd 57: Ch 4 (counts as first tr), tr in each rem st around; join and turn.
Rnd 58 and 59: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join and turn. After Rnd 59, break yarn and finish off.
Assembly
1st Step: Using Color A, sew both layers (held together) of plastic canvas to WS of bag bottom.
2nd Step: From center front of Main Bag, thread handle through Row 57, every 6 sts, until both ends are centered in front, 6 sts apart.
3rd Step: Thread both ends of the handle through the wooden ring.
4th Step: Sew ends of handle to WS of bag bottom using Color A, approximately 2 inches in (as shown). Center them next to each other at the front of the bag.
Be sure not to twist the handle straps.
5th Step: Use Color A to sew Bag Bottom to bottom of Main Bag, so that the plastic canvas and handle ends are hidden.
