Instructions
Download the bead template page. Print it on card stock on a color printer.
Cut out the shapes with a craft knife or a stencil cutting machine. You will use four for each earring. Glue the shapes together with the design facing out on the front and the back. Add enough glue to allow you to slide the layers against each other. This will insure glue covers all the edges. Place a heavy object on the layers and allow the glue to dry.
If there are any irregular or fuzzy edges, file them off gently with a finger nail file.
Color the white edges with a matching color marker.
Place the two beads on a protected surface. Apply a thin line of Diamond Glaze on the perimeter of each bead. Dot more in the center. The glaze will mound slightly and fill in the empty center space. Allow the beads to dry.
Apply glaze on the backside of the beads and allow them to dry.
Insert a nail head wire into a bead cap.
With round nose pliers, create a very small loop in the wire that extends above the cap. Trim off the excess wire.
Attach a copper earring wire to each loop.
Apply E-6000 to the top portion of the bead.
Insert the bead into the cap. Press the bead to flatten it so it hugs the bead. Allow the glue set before handling.
