Crochet Broadway Beanie

Finished sizes: Toddler, Child, Small Adult

1 skein Isaac Misrahi Broadway (shown in Palace) or Caron Simply Soft

Hook size: I

Gauge:

12 Stitches, 8 rows= 4 inches

Instructions:

For toddler size

Round 1: 13 DC in a magic circle, Join with slip stitch to 1st DC (13 stitches)

Round 2: ch 2, 2 DC in first stitch and in each stitch around, Join with slip stitch to 1st DC (26 stitches)

Round 3: Ch 2, *2 DC in first stitch, DC in next stitch, repeat from * around, Join with slip stitch to first DC (39 stitches)

Round 4: Ch 2, *2 DC in first stitch, DC in each of next 2 stitches, repeat from * around (52 stitches)

Round 5: Ch 2, DC in each stitch around (52 stitches)

Repeat Row 5 until hat measures 5.5-6 inches in height

Edging:

Rows 1-3: Ch 2, *FPDC in first stitch, BPDC in next stitch, Repeat from * around join with slip stitch to first FPDC

Row 4: Ch 1 *sc in first stitch skip one stitch, 4 DC in next stitch, skip one, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch to first sc, finish off.

For Child/Small Adult:

Round 1: 12 DC in a magic circle, Join with slip stitch to 1st DC (12 stitches)

Round 2: ch 2, 2 DC in first stitch and in each stitch around, Join with slip stitch to 1st DC (24 stitches)

Round 3: Ch 2, *2 DC in first stitch, DC in next stitch, repeat from * around, Join with slip stitch to first DC (36 stitches)

Round 4: Ch 2, *2 DC in first stitch, DC in each of next 2 stitches, repeat from * around (48 stitches)

Round 5: Ch 2, *2 DC in first stitch, DC in each of next 3 stitches, repeat from * around (60 stitches)

Round 6:Ch 2, DC in each stitch around (60 stitches)
Repeat Row 6 until hat measures 6-6.5 inches in height

Edging:

Rows 1-3: Ch 2, *FPDC in first stitch, BPDC in next stitch, Repeat from * around join with slip stitch to first FPDC
