Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

TO CHANGE COLORS

Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Beginning Cluster (Beg-cl): Ch 3, * yo hook twice, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a lp, [yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] twice; rep from * once more, yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook.

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), [dc in ring, ch 2] 7 times; join with sl st to first dc. (8 dc and 8 ch-2 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Purple with sl st in any ch-2 sp, beg-cl in same sp, ch 4, [cl in next ch- 2 sp, ch 4] around; join with sl st to first dc. (8 cl and 8 ch-4 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 3: With right side facing, join Green with sc to any ch-4 sp, 5 sc in same sp, [6 sc in next ch-4 sp] around; join with sl st to back lp of first sc. (48 sc)

Rnd 4: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), working in back loops only, skip next sc, [dc in next sc, ch 2, skip next sc] around; join with sl st to first dc. (24 dc and 24 ch-2 sps)

Rnd 5: With right side facing, join White with sc in any ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 6, sc in next ch-2 sp, [ch 5, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 6, sc in next ch-2 sp] 3 times, ch 2, dc in first sc (to form last ch-5 sp and position yarn for next round).
