DISHCLOTH

Row 1: (Right Side) Ch 40, dc in 6th ch from hook (skipped ch counts as ch 1, dc, ch 1), (ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch) across. (19 dc)

Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1 now and throughout), turn, dc in next dc, * ch 1, dc in next dc, (dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc) twice, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * across, ending with ch 1, dc in last dc. (27 dc)

Row 3: Ch 4, turn, * dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next 5 dc, ch 1; rep from * across, ending with dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in last dc.

Row 4: Ch 4, turn, * (dc in next dc, ch 1) twice, (skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1) twice, ch 1; rep from * across, ending with dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in last dc. (19 dc)

Rows 5-16: Rep Rows 2-4 four times.

At the end of Row 16, DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn (right side facing), 3 sc in first dc, sc in next ch-1 sp, (sc in next dc, sc in next ch-1 sp) across to corner, 3 sc in next dc; * working in sides of rows, 2 sc in each row *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, (sc in next ch) across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first sc.
