Shrug with Cuffs
You’ll need:
650 (750)g of brown-red Boa Vita yarn (56% polyacryl, 37% mohair, 7% polyamide; 80m/50g);
Crochet hook 7;
Double-pointed knitting needles 7.
Size: S-M (L-XL).
Used Patterns
Arches pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 7 + 2. Work due to the scheme, start with 1 WS row. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-9th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-9th rows. Make treble crochets and single crochets only behind arches of chain sts of the previous row.
2 x 2 rib.
Stitches control: 20 sts x 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Note: for detail of shrug, make a rectangular shape cloth, which forms back with marked halves of front and wide collar.
Instructions
Shrug
Make 114 (128) chain sts + 1 chain st increase and work with arches pattern = 14 (16) pattern repeats + initial and final sts. In 101 cm = 58 rows (108 cm = 62 rows) from the set-up row, finish your work. Fasten the set-up row with the 2nd row of arches pattern for bent lower edge.
Cuffs
Make 44 (52) sts, divide them to 4 double-pointed knitting needles and circle your work in the ring. Make 30,5 cm = 58 circle rows with rib, then, bind off the sts as they face.
Assembly
Fold the detail of shrug in half (= the last row upon the set-up row) and make side seams on open lower edges to 39 (40) cm long, leave upper 11,5 (14) cm (fold in half) open for sewing up. Bind off the edges of cuffs, sew them to the edges of shrug.
