ch. Chain
dc. Double Crochet
htr. Half Treble Crochet
tr. Treble Crochet
rpt. Repeat
ss. Slip Stitch
tch. Turning Chain
yrh. Yarn Round Hook

BLO. Back Loop Only
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
sthtr. Slip Through Half Treble Crochet Stitch
yrh, insert hook into stitch, pull up loop, (3 loops on hook) pull 3rd loop though 2nd and first loop.
3ch counts as first tr

Approx Finished Size: 36 inches x 36 inches

Materials

For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
600 grams of King Cole Hedgegrow Chunky Yarn
7.00mm hook for the main part & 6.50mm hook for the border

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in multiples of any number.
With 7.00mm hook make 102ch loosely, (RS) work 1tr into 5th ch from hook 1tr into each ch to end. Turn (98tr + 4tch)
2nd Row – 1ch, work sthtr (see abbrev) into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, work sthtr into each tr to end, sthtr into top of 3ch. Turn. (90sthtr)
3rd Row – 3ch, 1tr into BLO of each stitch to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd and 3rd Rows until 36 sthtr rows have been worked or work measures approx 35 inches from beginning. DNT.
Change to 6.50mm hook.

Border – make 3ch, work tr stitch evenly into row ends down first side of blanket, make 1ch, ss into each stitch along starting chain edge, make 3ch, work tr stitch evenly into row ends up second side of blanket. Turn.

(Working 3dc into corners), make 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, work 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
